I have them on both my bikes. Wouldn't even think about riding without them. I know it helps me to be seen. And if they find it annoying, then I know for sure they see it.

I think the only vehicles that should be able to use headlight modulators are Emergency Vehicles.

Why not just use your high beam? EDIT*** I didnt read i jumped the gun i went back and read about the high beam thing. but next statement still stands.

Also If i cant see the driver in their mirrors I move.

I actually prefer to be heard before seen though.

Default Modulators or Profit?

They want 100 bucks for something that costs only 10 bucks to build. I'm not above giving someone money for a profit. I definitly want to be seen during the day. What kind of modulator is best or do you use?
Whether you use them or not, if it makes you feel safer, use it. If you hate them, don't. I just purchased a used HD that someone else had one installed. It's my first but I didn't even know it was there until my buddy mentioned it this afternoon. As bikers, we notice bikes. Non-bikers sometimes never see them.

I just leave the low beam on during the day and ride like every automobile is being driven by some pretentious a**hole/ditzy soccer mom that thinks their time is more valuable & need to beat me through every intersection than me being alive. High beam at night when cars aren't coming in the opposite direction & adjusted my light to the proper position for me to see.

I agree with ConnMan "gay as a parade". I usually have my high beam on until sunset. It's better to see than be seen. I ride like I'm invisible.

As one of the "Gay" riders using a headlight modulator, let me clear up any misconceptions you macho riders may have. First off, they only work in high beam mode. You can turn it off by switching to low beam. (so I can choose when to be gay and when not to be) They have a sensor which diables them at night. I use it on bright sunny days, when I am riding in a heavily populated urban area. Here in Fla, loud pipes are not enough, since many of the Q-Tip drivers are deaf as fence posts. So enjoy your low visibility bike, and if anyone ever pulls out on you, as your flying through the air, comfort yourself with the knowlege that at least you never looked gay....

I'd go modulator LONG before I went chrome.

...but I'd add an Obama 2012 rainbow sticker before either.
