Things get old. I've had them for 2 years. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I may buy bars, mount them with the clip-ons on, just to see how it feels and go from there. May do nothing at all, who knows....
You could make a square U bar and mount your clip ons to the vert bar on each side. A really unique set of Z bars and you wouldn't have to set aside your clippies.

I mocked up a homemade version to their specs to see if I would like them or not before purchasing. Loved the feel, and how narrow they were, but they looked out of proportion with my 48's fat front tire.
These things would look rad on a narrow glide with a tall skinny tire.
