Question What should i do?

Hi all....i used to have 2 sportsters and they were both fun and awesome bikes to throw around. i actually miss them. So now i'm looking for another one to put next to the street glide in the garage. I found a 2006 883xl with 10,000 miles for about $5,000. I have a honda foreman atv i'm thinking about trading for it since i dont use it much..help me make my decision. lol. I also wanted the carburator back so that's another reason i'm interested in this one. Of course later down the road i'll have to get the 1200 kit. Anyone have a problems with the 06's? Or anything i should look for? Thanks all!

Where are you located? Perhaps if you like the Sportster for riding more spirited, you should find a 1200 right off the bat?

If you want to get another sporty then I say go for it. If you're looking for a carb bike then the 06 would be a great one to go with. All the current mods/aftermarket with the carb engine. I don't know if the price is good with the one that you found as it is so dependent on the area you are in. If you like the bike and the price is good for you jump on it. If you want to wait for a 1200 to pop up then I can understand that line of thinking too. I know where I am there quite a few 06 and back sporties regularly on CL. That doesn't mean they are all good bikes or priced right either.

I was just looking for a used sportster and the price looks about right for the one you are looking at....if you go to eaby and do a search for what you want and then go to completed listings you can see what they actually selling for....
