Nice looking wheels, but IMO on an old school looking hardtail laced wheels look the best.

I was thinking the same thing in the back of my mind, so thanks for bringing it to the front.

I've got the 21" wire wheel that came on it, but with the lowered ride height in the rear I was thinking that wheel would not look right. What should I look for in a set; 16 rear and 19 front and will other bike's wires fit a Sporty?

Thanks,
RC

Default Stock 16x3 slot

Anybody need a slot? No tube required...

I'm looking for a rear wire wheel to use instead...

That wheel would work well for you because being a 99 you'll have the smaller i.d. brake rotors. You'll need to be careful with your spacers but it will work.

And for what it's worth, I love a hardtail with mag wheels like you posted earlier if the rest of the bike follows the feel. Very hot-rod.

Thanks, it's hard to decide with all the little details which direction to go, but at least I have my color scheme set. I'm going with the late 1970's Martini racing colors

Default 21" laced wheel cleaned

I never thought 40 spokes were a lot until I had to clean them after years of neglect. It turned out so nice I think I use it
