Chris gives tons of installation help over the phone for everything he sells. I bought shocks and front springs from him, great prices, and a great guy to do buissiness with. He's a Sporty owner too!
Bought mine off of ebay. You will probably find the best deal there. Just make sure it is a power seller, like a store or somebody with tons of feedback.
You will not regret it . I love mine, make the bike ride good and look even better.
Hey, would you mind telling me what's the riding experience between the stock and 412? For $169us/pair, I am ready for the challenge lol. Alex
If you choose the right length and right spring then dramatic. Even if you choose the wrong length and wrong spring; very much improved. The stock japanese showa shocks are just pure crap and that's being nice. You'll notice how crappy the fork springs are after you do the rear shocks so make sure you also order some fork springs.
Usually if you want a good handling bike the idea is to go with taller shocks instead of shorter ones. Shorter shocks tend to provide a harsh ride and make it easier to scrap things. When I put on 12.5" shocks of my custom that came with 11.75" shocks it really improved handling and the look of the bike didn't noticably change.
When you sit on the bike. you feel more on the ground, which i like. It only bottomed out when i had it all the way down, then i gave it a couple of turns to better the ride., no complaints.
I did that and the drag bar at the same time, so the feeling was really different, but i like it lots.
