all the (used to be)polished parts will need repolished or refinished some how. some polish and 0000 steel wool helps, but wont totally clean it.. on the natural aluminum cases and cylinders, use a brass brush. my wife's sportster is in the same condition(a little better, but..) i got it looking pretty good. most of the polished aluminum will have to wait till winter. chrome polish and 0000 wool works really good on neglected chrome
