this may sound weird but the first thing I would do is dump the gas and clean the filter in the tank,then fill it up with new gas...then check the intake gasket (the ring behind the carb)....and blow out the fuel line while you are here....

Will try. By filter in tank you mean my petcock I dont think this bike has any other filters
Most would disagree but I took mine off and put a clear inline filter on instead, partly because if I ever need to take it off I have to remove my tank becaue of clearance, I did a rinse out of the tank before I reassembled it
About setup and jet. Only the head guy knew enough about the carbs and he was in a build they took my name and #(I thought blowoff) he called me back about an hour later. We taled he listened, I listened he said the jetting is fairly common even on 883 he suggested the diaphram may be worn or damaged so within a few day I will check the seal on intake the filter in petcock change fuel and try again before I buy the diapham
