Default My first bike

Hello all, new to the forums, been poking around forums and reviews for a the past 2 years, trying to decide between used or new, waiting for the perfect bike. Well as of last week finally decided that my best approach was to just get exactly what I wanted.

Picked up a new 2012 Iron 883. Not a bad deal with it got $750 in dealer cash to use towards accessories etc, 20% of gear after that etc. so with that, Just wanted to say hi and looking forward to years of fun.

I take delivery of it tuesday morning, havnt taken my riders safety course yet so promised the wife I would be smart and wait til I was done, but the class is in a week so wont wait to long. Will go ahead and install my exhaust and heavy breather in the meantime though will post pics here in a few minutes, have pics of it fresh off the truck, have to resize.

Welcome welcome.

Have you dropped coin on the breather and pipes yet? What are you getting?

What paint scheme are you getting?

Already got the Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather with the black housing. Not a chrome fan so the factory exhaust will not last long IMO. I really REALLY love the look of the V&H short shots, but after reading on the forums I dont think I want to deal with the issues that come with them. I think I may go the route of some Rush slipons with the baloney cut tips with the screaming eagle black heat shields with the drilled holes.

What is the cheapest place to pick up the rush slipons? or are there others out there? I am wanting black. and hoping to keep them in the 250 range just for the slipons.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your New Ride!

Rush is a sponsor here, they can probably get you a good deal. I know I PM'd them and asked if they had any blemished slip-ons. Got a good deal on a pair and when I got them the tiny little blemish was not even visible when installed!
