The only advantage is thicker insulating rubber & the color you want......Seeing as your plug wires are only two years old, there's no real reason to change them other than so you can have the color change. Just go with the Screamin Eagle wires. That's what I grabbed last year since I was replacing the original plug wires, 12 years old. Plus I wanted the orange.
What he said ..... the SE ones are the HD orange and you don't need to worry about how many mm the wire is, etc.
I laughed out loud when I got my SE wires. There was a big warning on the box about SE products being for off-road competition use only, like a set of wires was going to completely turn my 1200 into a hellfire breathing beast.

Haha I did the same thing. I did a DK coil relocation that came with the SE plug wires and had the same warning.
I don't want to derail your thread, but I'm looking to find some green plug wires. I have no idea where to begin looking. I've searched parts stores, online(google and the likes) and I have no idea how I would find the right ones for my bike. Does anyone know if it's even possible to find green plug wires? The scheme on my bike is black and green so I'd like to try to match them. JP has these: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/360-704 but 2011 48 doesnt show in the supported models area, and I have the DK Customs coil relocation kit so I also don't want one of the wires to be a mile long. Anyone got any ideas?

Plug wires aren't hard to fabricate. Check with a local shop - I've seen a skilled wrench fab a set in 5 minutes. The plug ends are generic, the wire stock can probably be had in any color.....even if you got a set the wrong lengths, simple to pop the plug off, trim to your length, and go from there.
I got a "01 Road King Cop Bike. My stock wires (45k on them) are tucked under my tank and look clipped intp the bottom of the tank. Is there a easier way to change them than removing the tank???

You might want to ask this in the "touring section" instead of the sportster section........But, you should be able to disconnect/open the clips with a screw driver/finger fidgetting the wires.
