Hope the rest of you "new" H-D owners had as good of Christmas as I did (my birthday was the 28th also). Lots of T-shirts from all over the country, pins and trinkets of all sorts, some chrome goodies and SE slip-ons. I must say I was impressed by the performance increase...lots quicker to red line! Now to do an A/C stage 1 or not? Think it will make that much more difference?

Stage 1 A/C will make a HUGE difference. You just think you got a performance boost from the new pipes. I noticed a slight increase in performance when I added slip-on mufflers. Then after about 4,000 miles, I did the rest of the Stage 1. I accidently pulled the front wheel off the ground (just bearly) the first time I road out my driveway after completing the a/c and carb re-jet.
How hard do you have to get on it to pull that front wheel off?
I had a stage one on my bike done a few weeks ago and afraid to nail it to hard in first gear for fear that the front wheel will come off the ground.

You have to get on it pretty hard. It actually happened when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Was just as I was dropping of a SLIGHT drop at the end of my driveway, and my clutch slipped outta my hand (that's my story and I'm sticking to it), so I had to get on the throttle.
I've got on her pretty good since then, and it hasn't happened again.
i've got an 02 883R, with se stage 1 a/c and drag pipes. i pull my front tire about 3 or 4 inches anytime i hammer it going from first to second. (granted i only way 140lbs, but still, i do wheelies on an almost stock harley hahahahah)
