Well I have a SERT and true duals and SE AC. I did not do cams. Maybe I should and will one day. I get good gas mileage. I still get a lot of decel pop. Dealer wants $500 to dyno again.

Would I go this route again? Hell no. I would put on slipons and a new map and air. Did not gain enough HP to be happy. So u need to find someone with the same bike and like what they did and match it. I can't tell you what tuner to use because I still do not know this answer. But who wants to pay 500 a dyno and they wont even guarantee they can get rid of the decel popping and they are the dealer who sold me all the stuff. To me if they are a good tuner and they test drive your bike they should at least know that. Or is that really asking to much.

So good luck.

#1 look for a new / used PC-V on the cheap...it was pretty easy with people upgrading to the newer offerings.

#2 buck up for a new or look for a used PowerVision.

#3 buck up majorly for SEPST and dyno tuning.

I'd say #1 and #2 would be sufficient for stage 1 and some stage 2 with autotune or dyno tweaking, but #3 would be preferable for stage 2+. If this doesn't fit your layout requirements, feel free to modify and repost in your OP.

I have the PC III and never had an issue yet. It was dyno tuned twice back in 2010 and not touched since and my bike runs like crazy! If I did not go with the PC III price was good at the time I would have went the SERT route, but for my mods it's really not needed-no plans on tearing into the engine any time soon.

My advise would be get all the parts you want at one time if you can or stock pile them till you have them all then install them all at once with the selected tuning device and enjoy a night and day differance.

Oh do some research on the parts you want and don't be cheap-get the parts you want the first time aorund. I have spent more money and time trying to save many times over on project then if i would have just got the parts I wanted in the first place.

High Dollar - Power Vision
Medium - PCV
Bare Bones - X14iED

1. best WOT (wide open throttle) performance Power Vision
2. best "overall" tune - combo of power, reliability, efficiency. Power Vision
3. best gas mileage. Power Vision

That said, my experience with Sportys is that the X14iED or XiED is very close to perfect on a Stage 1 bike.

I did my research first and decided on the Power Vision. I am very happy with it so I wouldn't do anything different if I had to it over again.

ETA: The Power Vision can do 1 (with the wide band setup),2 & 3, but with different tunes.

1. For my "No Holes Barred" solution, PowerVision or SEPST on a dyno by a well known professional.

2. Medium Dollar solution would be PowerVision DIY

3. Bare Bones solution would be to leave it stock.

To answer next 3, I would think that a properly programmed unit by a very knowledgeable tuner can yield what you tell him be it a race tune for WOT, Overall or Gas mileage.

If you buy the SESPT does it come with WB O2 sensors? That's one setup I never priced out to do open loop tuning (scenario #1).

Not a chance. It uses the NB O2 sensors that are already on the vehicle.
