I have an 06 1200L and for christmas was given the front mounted control kit. I have everything finished except the brake connector because I am finding it impossible to remove the original brake line because the bolt is so hard to move, it wont even budge. Has anyone done this and know a trick or should I see if the dealership could pop this last part for me. One thing that makes it difficult are the pipes..right in the way.
Do you mean brake pedal push rod, you have to move the exhaust a bit to get that bolt off, it is very tight. All you have to do is take the exhaust mounting bolts off and you will be able to move the muffler a bit to get access.
Yea I loosened the pipes and can get to it but all I am using is a torque wrench..looks like an allen wrench so its tiny and I have no leverage. Will keep trying..need it for work on monday
Well I was able to get everything done. then ran it to the dealer for the 5k check up and they checked and tightened everything for me I must say riding with front controls is much for relaxing and to me a better ride...thanks all
