That price is high even in Canadian dollars. I'd shop around for a better deal. You might get tired looking at those hard bags after awhile. IMO

if the bike already has everything you want then you did ok a check on h-d web site shows you have close to 2,000 dollars in extras and as crappy as it sounds its true the stealer probably dont have 3500 bucks in the bike they dont give you any extra on trade for accesorieseven if they are oem parts .
enjoy your new bike

I didn't buy the bike and thanks to great insights I have gotten, I am not gonna buy a used bike from an HD dealer. Only new a new one. And only 3rd party aftermaket parts (with maybe one or two exceptions related to performance).

Don't forget about tax, title and plates. My 07 883R went out the door for $9965. I know that was about $600.00 above for the dealer. [:@]Oh well, I wanted it bad. Taxes here in Washington are probably higher than most also. I haven't found a dealer around here yet that goes under MSRP.

Some dealers will allow extra for accessories, and even quite generously. But I agree, for the most part, take all that stuff off before you trade, and sell it on ebay.

Regarding one post, knowing that the dealer not giving you much bc the bike is carbed, I wonder if I didn't get screwed when buying mine.

I bought a used '04 883 (not the custom) from an individual , with a windshield, 2-up seat and sissy bar, chrome additions (primary cover, a few other chrome things),two H-D helmets, andthe bikedidn't have a scratch on it with only 240 miles total. I paid $5000, clear title.

However, I'm wanting to either upgrade or trade it in for the 1200. I'm wondering if I will have the same problem? I'll probably get even less on the trade in since it's not an 883C. I'm thinking I'll have to go theupgrade route as well. Don't want to get screwed on a trade in.

I never have heard that about the carbed models not selling as well bc of the newer fuel injected models.

The Color matched Saddle bags are 1k from HD. I just cheked. I know you don't get that money back, but if you want that stuff, you gonna have to add that cost to the Bike you buy without 'em. I paid 7495, MSRP for my '05 883C, it was 1 year old, this Dealer is a great Dealer, they stand behind their Sales 100% and give me 10% off on parts as long as I own the Bike, so you got to sit down and consider what you are willing to pay, check what Bikes are selling for in your area, all of y'all are stating prices that can't be touched around where I live. My Scoot has 23k on it andI would not take a dime less than $10,500 and have been offered 9k, but I look at what it would take to replace it and think,, No way I take less than $10,500. Now if I didn't have the Custom paint we are talkin $7500 no less!
