Why not the standard cast spoked wheels of Harley's? They are decent looking, can be painted or powder coated if you wish and are fairly cheap on ebay.
Hi from down the road in the UK! Will another brand of wheel bolt in? Highly unlikely! By coincidence a friend who also has an 08 with spokes has just ordered a pair of new cast wheels from Jersey H-D, for the same reason as you. So that is one option.
Another option is to buy secondhand from US Ebay, which I have done recently for a couple of wheels for my Glide. You will need patience to get the right wheels, and buy without tyres, as shipping costs are high. However sale prices can actually be less than shipping and far cheaper than buying new. If you want further tips on buying this way send me a PM.
Finally if you are serious about trying Jap wheels you will be on your own. It may be possible, but I suspect will require some ingenuity and expertise.
