It's true, I am new to the world of motorcycling. My world is that of edged weapons and firearms. As an instructor in the field for many years I take part in several forums. If you were to post a newbee question on one of them I would never reply with some snarky, d-bag response. We ask questions so that we may learn. Grow up.

I have always been under the impression that a bobber is were everything that isn't needed is stripped off. There is no set diagram for a bobber. I wouldn't read to much into the internet tough guys. It is very easy to talk crap and try to belittle people from the comfort of their parents basement while mommy and daddy make sammichs. Either way if you are looking for the bobber look just dig around. Cut everything off that isn't needed give it the bare bones look and enjoy. Remember it is your bike, call it what you want make it look how you want.

Exactly, the true definition of a bobber. Lighter bikes are faster and that's what started the whole minimalist thing.

I get a LOT more info over on chopcult.com. There's some pretty radical builds and fab skills, and you're bound to get an idea or two from them.

You guys don't go fishing in england? That is a fishing bobber, it floats on the water and bobs up and down if you've got a fish on the hook.
