I recently got a Stage 1 upgrade on my 48. V&H short shots, SE Stage 1 Air Intake, and SE Super Tuner. The bike runs like a totally new beast. 75 Hp & 75 ft. lbs. I dont know why the bikes dont just come like this from the factory.
The bike is plenty fun, but I'm looking to add even more power. When cruising at 120+ with my friends with sport bikes, the Sportster feels like its straining. What are some good power adding options to make this bike a true beast. People will suggest getting a bigger bike, but I'm looking for a light muscle car feel, not something like a diesel truck. The sporty is the perfect size to zip around, I'm just looking for ways to boost the power so that I can smoke these sport bike clowns. A 1200 cc bike should easily be able to do so.
Totally new power train mabey? Would something from S&S and a 6 speed fit? Any and all suggestions appreciated.
I just picked up a 48 for the wife, and can't imagine going 120 on a 48 , can it even do that my white lightning barely went that? Hell my road glide with a 120R can just barley make it ,maybe just a little quicker . If you want to ( cruise) at that speed first good luck second dont get a Harley!
