I got the DK Outlaw Air Filter and it is awesome. Its not too big, not too small.Stupid easy to install. It does give you a performance boost and it just looks badass all around. If you go with DK you will not be dissapointed! Their product is amazing and so is their customer service.
Thanks everybody... Big Sucker is out. Guess I need to spend some more time with the Figure Machine air cleaner and make up my darn mind!
Pantera: Did you like the DK while you had it? Loctite goes on everything.
Oh absolutely and their customer service and delivery time is unbeatable! I just wanted something different since I had no choice but to buy another hi flow air cleaner.
If you get the DK make sure to use some lock tight thread or whatever it's called!!! I lost mine a few nights back on a back road and couldn't find it. It would come loose every now and then and I'd just tighten it back down.
I went with a joker machine contrast to replace it just because I wanted something different since I was having to buy something new... I didn't want to spend money just to get the same thing I already had.
had that same thing happen to me a few times with the SE air cleaner and the stock 72 cover....I just tightened the **** out of it
but after the fact, a friend suggested to me to just put a lock washer behind the cover and it works perfectly
Give the guys at Figure Machine a call and ask them what it'd cost to polish the aluminum cover (rather than powder coat or chrome). They do some really nice work. FigureFinishing.com
Headlight nacelle off a 40 year old FLH. That's polished aluminum, not chrome:
Of course, you could polish it yourself with a buffing wheel chucked in a drill. Wear gloves.
