Default question

When you stand your bike up,should your jiffy stand snap back up in
place.Mine seems to be the only one that does this,1997 sportster.

Most sidestands have a notch in the forward position that locks the stand into the position. Once the stand is "kicked" out of that position, the attached spring should pull the stand into the upright position or, at a minimum, make it much easier to kick it up into position.

On Beasly, I have to kick the stand in order to get it from the deployed position to the stowed position.

I better jack it up and see what's wrong.

could just be a strong spring... i have to kick mine up but it hits the frame stop then hangs down an inch or two.
