I'm torn between getting some vance and hines 2-2 big radius or some 2-1 for my nightster. I havnt been able to find many reviews on the big radius. I'd like to see a few more pics of both and see what you guys thought of yours!
I guess it depends on whether you are hung up on looks or you want the bike to run good. This BR pipes are glorified straight pipes and 2-1 pipes are going to give good all around performance.
On my dresser I've swapped from true duals, as they get called over there, in other words two separate pipes and mufflers, to a 2-into-1. With both systems I had the bike optimised on a dyno by the same shop. Frankly I was amazed at the gains I got with the 2-into-1.
With separate pipes the engine torque builds up to a level, then gets second wind later in the rev range and improves to a second higher level. With my 2-into-1 the engine goes straight up to the second level, giving around 15% extra torque in the lower/mid range. In addition it rides much smoother and sweeter than before.
So unless you really insist on looks, go with a 2-into-1. My sigpic shows my SuperTrapp and if I ever get round to changing my SuperLow that is what I will go with.
