Default 883 clutch

i have a 08 883 c. i want to install a 1250 kit over the winter. is the 883 clutch going to be o.k. i have driven some 1200's and the clutch is harder to pull than the 883.

The 1200's and 883's use the same clutch pack. Newer Sporties (since 2006) have easier to pull clutches than earlier models due to a change in the clutch spring plate.

+1........ Sportster clutches are all the same. Other than some spring plate changes.

Caught me snoozing.

Is this the same spring plate that has a tendency to spit out brass rivets around 20K? I had the impression from other threads some like to upgrade to the Energy One clutch as insurance. Still learning here. Cheers, RR

Depends on how many miles are on that clutch. Mine was already about to go out AGAIN! After the engine break in period, the first time I gave the 1250 engine a firm strong twist of the throttle....the stock clutch said....ZIP!!!!
