Lower 1200 Custom?
I am still in the process of getting a bike, the plan is to get one by next summer (money is tight). I was originally looking at a Fatboy Lo but now I am leaning towards a 1200 Custom because its cheaper and work has been slow for me so I think it would be a smarter choice financially. I am pretty short (5'6") and I have sat on a few Sportsters but they seem to be too tall for me, and I can only touch the ground while on my tippy toes, where as the Fatboy Lo I was able to plant my feet firmly and comfortably. My question is how much lower can I make the 1200 Custom with the stock suspension? I know I could get a lowering bracket or lowering shocks but I was curious if there was a way to adjust the original shocks (if that even makes sense), I ask because my buddy said he could lower his '12 FatBob by messing with the factory shocks. Thanks for any help.
