Default Limiter??

Hi all, I have a 2005 Sportser xl custom which has had stage 1 tuning done. I find that if I rev hard to overtake in 1st/2nd gear it gets to a point where it feels like a limiter cutting in. Im not sure if it is or whether its a carburettor problem. Anybody else had a similar problem? Thanks.

I ride a 2009 XL883L with VH Short Shots, VH Duke intake, and X14iED. I have never had a stage 1 download. About a week ago, I was jumping into traffic and hit the rev limiter at 40mph in first gear. My 883 didn't feel like it was falling on its face or anything like that, it just said, "upshit dumba$$"

I know you have a carb and I have EFI, but if you were going anything near 40 in 1st, then maybe that is what you felt.

The ignition module on your bike has a built-in rev limiter.

You can go hard on it.........you just need to shift it sooner.
