regulator toasted?
Hi Guys,
bike went south today, no battery anymore. My indy came to help me, we jumped the batteries to start again, I brought the bike to him to fix it.
probably the regulator which is toasted, bike is 6 months old with 10k's on the odo. Still under warranty so far, so no stress. Oh yes, there is a stress, the dealership where my indy goes for parts is closed till monday. No other car nor bike to go at work, the rail will be the only option, shyte!

Yes, I was aware of it, I learnt about the recall here on this very forum. I just have to wait, I guess, the indy will contact me when he's got one.

some issues here. The H-D recall seems not to have reached Europe. I told my indy there was a recall on regulators, he told me if this was the case, I would have got in my mail box a letter from H-D, letting me know I had to go to a dealership to change over the part.
Has anyone of you have had the problem, and would be ready to scan me the letter they got from H-D? Just the letter, don't need your adress, you may "tipp-ex" it...

thanks, I forwarded the service bulletin to my indy. Bad news is he ordered the regulator, but it won't be delivered before september 15...

OK
as H-D was completely unable to deliver the right part in due time, my indy found a similar after market regulator somewhere else, he has put it on the bike this evening, I'll catch the bike tomorrow in the morning.
