Welcome! I too just picked up an Iron, located in SoCal as well. Never hit the crest on my sport bikes, might just have to on the Harley.

Heard many a good word about Newcombs. Seemed though any time I did feel up for the ride to the Crest it was closed. It's a good 60 miles from me. That's sore butt territory on a Ninja.

Love that story and your wife. She's a keeper. I know what you mean about Harley being a whole different experience from any other bike. Glad we both figured it out.

Aces, the crest is open and refurbished after the fires so ride it and smile. Newcombe's has great food too. Weekday mornings are best in my experience. Zero traffic.

congrats man, i just bought my first harley too, an iron in big blue pearl, and wouldnt ya know its rained solid for the last two weeks so ive only managed to clock up 140kms on her

Thanks for the welcome and kind words . If anyone wants to put together a Angeles Crest ride after the fires from the 138 & the 2 or the 210 & the 2 both work for me as long as Im riding. Chime In and make it happen.

bummer on the rain I want to go for a little put today but we are looking at flash flooding todayIt doesnt happen often but it would be my luck.
