Turn signal module
Need some help trouble shooting a signal light problem i have. This is what has happend: 1st, when i turn the key on the left blinker goes on and won't turn off if i press the left turn signal switch but will turn off if i press the right switch, which now turns on the right blinker and i can turn it off by pressing the right switch. when all blinkers are off, only the right one works and the hazard lights work as well (so i know it is not the bulbs). Is this a faulty turn signal module or what? And if so how much $ are they and where is it located on the bike. By the way it is a 2009 xl883l sportster.

i did a little trouble shooting of my own and found that it is definitely not my bulbs, the problem seems to be in the switch itself, so i removed the clutch lever and the switch housing from the bars and noticed that when i wiggled the wires that feed the high beams,horn and blinker, it seemed to make a connection and work .The wires for the blinker goes into a small black sealed box, i sprayed everything with a electrical cleaner/degreaser and put it back together and so far it seems to be working fine...for now, but i think this one will haunt me again soon, hope not.
