Default Iron 883 Model Year Differences

I understand that the Iron 883 has been in production since 2009. Are there any differences from year to year, or is the bike exactly the same today as it was when introduced? If there are differences, what are they?

Sorry if this has been discussed but a quick search did not turn up anything.

I know the ECM has been moved, not sure what year that happened but I think it was 2011. Also, the first year it was introduced in Canada it arrived with the chopped rear fender, side mount license plate and tail light/brake light combination. this did not meet Canadian DOT regulations so it was the only year like that. Since then the only version available in Canada has the standard long rear fender with the huge tail light.

My 2010 has the better ECM location so perhaps that was the first year of that change. I'm not sure.

07-09's have the ECM located in the rear fender, no big deal unless you're planning on changing the seat or fender.. You'll need to relocate the ECM and cover the gaping hole.

Other than that, to the best of my knowledge... it's just been BNG's (bold new graphics)
