Well seems to me that you need either a custom pipe, or a new bike...or wait for new pipes to hit the market

I love that I can be Jekyll and Hyde with the Sportster and surprise the f out of my sport bike riding friends. The remarks like "I've never had a Harley filling my mirrors before" cracks me up. I have had sports bikes and I just can't ride them. No soul and uncomfortable, period, end of story.

The Freedom Performance American Outlaw system I mentioned above is the only high pipe that I could see on the bike and not look totally out of place. I have been looking for a few months now and have come up empty handed..........

Anyone have feedback on the BUB Sidecutters? They look like they may offer good clearance.

Not being a sporty rider, here is a thought. A friend we ride with (we catch up a lot) has a Buell Lightning. The pipe is under the bike. It was just an idea. The sporty may sit to low for this. We will be grinding floorboards while he still has plenty of room

No personal feedback, but I'd still be a little leery of that bottom pipe dragging.

Judging by the side view on BUB's website it looks like it may not be an issue but that would be a $550 mistake. In addition, not sure how the performance aspect of the pipes are.

Sounds like this guy needs a Buell or a ZX14.

I have the RSD Tracker 2 into 1 and absolutely love it. It looks great, sounds great, and paired with a good intake and tuner, seems to increase power. Now, this is an uncalibrated butt dyno; but I'm really happy with them. There is no way you will be scraping anything from the exhaust! Plus, everyone that sees my bike just stares at the exhaust.

Good point, best off talking with someone that already has them before pulling the trigger... I'd imagine the performance would be along the same lines as every other 2-2 drag pipe on a sporty, decent power but high in the rpm range.

By the sounds of it, you ride your sporty hard and probably could use that extra power... A good 2-1 system will deliver the most useable power in a more useable rpm range.

Not cheap again, but have you looked into the R&B pipes?

R&B LSR:

R&B Pro Stock

Can be made slightly up-swept if desired:

Apparently those pipes are Loud As F**K though!

As it sits right now my bike with a PCV, Big Sucker and Krome Werks 2.5" HP+ slip-ons is at 77hp to the wheel. A 2-1 would bump that a bit as well. I really think I am going to try the Freedom Performance American Outlaw High 2-into-1. Nice beefy looking pipe, sounds like a V8 muscle car and supposed to give good power.
