Did a quick search and read both ways but is there anything to worry about by removing the sprocket cover on a 09 Nightster. Took the belt guard and sprocket cover off and like the look just wondering if there is any negatives to it.

you should be fine. Only worry's would be getting a rock thrown into your belt and it breaking. I have been running no belt guards on my bike for 2 years and haven't had any problems. I put a Joker Machine sprocket cover on mine also.
