OP, who put the filter on there? Whoever did that is the one that needs their tool box welded shut. Either they failed to oil it or over tightened it. Either way they are the ones that screwed up.
I would assume the dealership that sold it as used did...or the guy that had the bike before he traded it in. That freeking thing was ridiclious. I am going to have bad dreams of that freeking filter. LOL
