comfort flex shocks
I decided to put a spring solo seat on it. I got a springer seat from flea bay, for a Crossbones model.
I adapted it to fit and it made a huge improvement on smaller bumps, but bigger holes and depressions still were painful, as an inch and a half of shock travel were just not enough.
I decided to try the comfort flex shocks also. I found some for 175 bucks from Surdyke .com.
I put them on today, and they really make a difference. The bike is still not like riding on a cloud, but it is way better. I am using the least amount of preload setting.
The shocks raise the seat height some, but because they are softer, the bike settles when you sit on it. The seat raised the sitting height quite a bit. My seat height is now about 32 inches.
That part doesn't bother me, because I have long enough legs I can still flat foot at stops. Short people probably wouldn't like this setup.
The bike leans more on the kickstand, so I had to put a small spacer under the foot to keep it from leaning so much.
I have put on a couple of pics for anyone interested.
Long story short, I am happy with the shocks.
