got mine from harley with the slip on pad. cause my ole lady don't ride enough for me to leave the back seat and the pad on all the time. i got the sissy bar on there for my pack i take to work. for PT and another flight suit in case i get drenched in hydraulic fluid. but it's off most of the other time. i think my bar, brackets, and pad was around 150, i think.
First you'll needsideplates. In my opinion, this shoud be well thougt out. There are rigid mount, and detachable sideplates. Some other future mods will only work with one or the other of the sideplates. I would suggest some research and planning.
Yeah, I kept all the accessories on my bike Harley Davidson even though I know it cost more. I put the permanent mini rail on the back with the mini pad and also the billett backing plate. I didn't put it on necessarily for the sake of any passengers but I needed a tie down point for an additional bag that sets on the passenger seat when I go on extended trips and the capacity of my saddle bags isn't adequate.
Of course the additional benefit is that it will also give any passenger that added security of acting like a door stop.
I found this one on Ebay for $129.99. It includes rigid sideplates and sissybar (no pad included). This is manufactured by Khrome Werks. I haven't seen one in person but was thinking of buying it myself.
