Like I said in the other thread on this subject... the back fender is about the only thing I'd be interested in...
Wonder when they'll start selling parts for it... lol
Charlie D.
If they do start selling the "N" rear fender I hope they keep the price reasonable, but if there is a large demand for the part HD tends to reflect this in their suggested retail price.
First of all I think Willie G and the boys in styling have been knocking it out of the park lately (Night Rod Special, Street Glide, Softail Custom, Nightster) are all home runs if you ask me... now my point is this with the Nightster... the rear fender with the side plate, about 8 months ago in the Thunder Press they did an article on the side plate thing (on choppers and the like) and they found out that most states (and all of the west coast) has no provisions for mounting the plate on the side and that the law says the plate MUST be mounted above the taillight it was mainly not being enforced because these are low production custom bikes... and the last I knew using the brake lights integrated into the turn signals was not allowed in several states certainly MoCo checked into this before making the bike... BTW what are those funky things silver things on the bottom of the footpegs???
Well I have no Idea if there are provisions in New York, but I just bought a nightster, so I guess I will find out when I go to Americade in June if the plate is legal...LOL I have been riding a GL1500 goldwing since 1997, and this is my first Harley! I have three sons all under the age of 5, so not much riding with the wife anymore. This will be "MY" ride, although she has expressed interest in learning to ride her self! If that works out I will get her a sporty of her own! I have not taken delivery of the nightster yet. The dealership says it will be in on the 15th. I love the look, and now that they have shock mounted the engineand added fuel injection, who would not want a sporty in the garage?I got the two tone olive pearl/black denim Army look!
Congrats on you purchase Lewd_Dude I'm sure your going to love her. I bought one in the same color combo last month. Weather's beenunforgiving latelybut Iplanto headover to some old war army vehicles for some pics to post.
