To get the best results doing stage 1, I think (correct me if I'm wrong!) you need a full system. I looked at slip ons but when I saw that rush system on SC48sters machine I knew that was what I'd been looking for.
I'm going to get the bits (pipes, air cleaner and SESTP) over the next two months and fit them myself , but gotta take it to the shop to do the tune/setup.
Man, you should try a Ducati, never ending mods with those.........bleed you dry but we love it
Finally got my bike and now to get the pipes......but.......
My stealer told me that Rush pipes would invalidate my warranty! Apparently only V&H pipes are endorsed by HD.....also told me that there won't be any maps for them using the SESTP......
What do you guys think, is this true?

Sounds like a load of BS to me. They want to sell you what they have and are using the warrenty over your head. The tune between the two should be pretty close. I started with the Xied's and they worked fine, but when I bought a PV for my Road King, I bought a second license for the 48. I actually started with the PV tune for V&H SS's because Dynojet didn't have one for the Rush. It was pretty good (better than the Xied's) but I had to leave to come back to China so I didn't get much time to auto tune.
Personally, I would challenge them and send a note to Papa HD and ask them straight up if that is a fact or not.

First, your bike looks fantastic. Congrats.
I've recently looked into tuners for my 48 and in the US, HD currently offers two tuners. The Street Tuner and the Super Tuner. Only the Street Tuner keeps the factory warranty and it isn't designed for doing anything beyond a Stage I download. I'd ask them to show you written proof of how it works there.
You should get plenty of feedback regarding HD and aftermarket tuners. It can be overwhelming and confusing. Good luck!
Thanks guys, appreciate your advice. Sod the stealers!
I've just ordered the Rush pipes from CruiserCustomizing, great customer service and only $67 shipping! Just hope they slip thru customs here with no import duty, some you win, some you lose
Man, can't wait to fit them.....
Am I right in thinking I can fit them with the stock air cleaner with no tuner? I have the Licks Fly Sucker AC ready to go but need to hold on as spent a bit of dosh recently so the tuner will have to wait for now.
Thanks for your compliments on my scoot here's another pic

Your paint looks bad azzzzzz!! I love the Rush SS's and I think you will love the sound. I can't get enough of it. I won't be home until sometime in April (on assignment in crap hole China), but if you don't have a tuner figured out I can send you my Xied's for free, just to help out a fellow 48'ster.
Hey Mike that's a very generous offer mate, thank you very much but please let me give you something for them.....PM me
My partners daughters boyfriend is in China at the moment, he's a translator. I hear it's difficult to breathe out there!! Have a good new year! And to you all on HD Forum!
Shame no instructions in the box but downloaded them off Rush website (weird they're not provided) - man, really can't wait to get these on, although temp here is -1 and snow so no rush (excuse the pun) at the mo
