I can't comment on the Sundowner, but I can on the Mustang. I also have the wide touring seat and my backside thanks me everytime I climb on. When doing any type of long riding it's nice to be comfy. The drawback to the Mustang is a big one, the price.
if you do a search you'll see a ton of info on seats. i have a mustang vintage wide solo and my wife has a mustang vintage wide two-up seat. extremely comfortable and looks great. i've road all day without a worry on the rear end! good luck...
I'll say this, the Pillow Top Touring seat is the Best 200 bucks you can spend on a seat. it is rather ugly, but I did 300 mile days on it several times. It is a great seat for both Rider and passenger.
