Default Nightster rear lights

I am wanting to draw the rear lights in much closer to the fender. I did a search and came up with nothing. Has anyone done this ? Is there a kit available ? Or has anyone modified theirs ? TIA.

I believe the stems can be removed and then mount the light housing directly to the fender rail.

Yep, that's what I do. You'll obviously need to replace the bolts used to mount them but that's not hard.

Yes, they all use the same stem.

Do you have any pics of your bike from the back? I'd like to see that look. Just need shorter bolts to do that? I have been thinking about wanting to do the same thing.

I would guess one could just cut the length of the stem from the bolt and reuse the original bolt and nut. That is if you have no plans of returning to stock in the future.(Screw the nut on the bolt before cutting and then remove the nut after the cut is made. This will help to remove any burring of the threads that may happen as a result of cutting )

I'll see about getting some pics up later. My bike is in a few pieces right now.

There was another Harley to that had shorter stems because the plate mounts off of them I saw some one on here that got two of them. Looked great wish I could say what bike they were off of. Brought the lights in like .5"
