No-No-No … the Ham Can AC stays. Same goes for the headlight eyebrow and exhaust crossover pipe. Classic Sportster stuff

Bike looks friggin sweet dude. Great job with that rear render. Nice and small and the perfect amount of flip to it. I think I'm gonna get one of those fenders and fvck around with it and see what I can come up with. Always liked this bike and likey even more now.

I like the way you have that bike looking, good stuff. It reminds me of a Sporty I had a few years ago that I put repop tins on.

Thanks guys, just dumb luck on the rear fender. I bought a 2003 Fat Boy front fender at a yard sale for $15. The front was banged up but the rear half was clean and the width was correct. Cut it up and it worked out fine.

As for the tank, couldn’t decide on a color … so I stripped it down and simply let it shine. Bargin bikes are fun

It's not much that it is ugly, but mostly because it covers the beauty of the engine, which is a better look.

Agreed … I like seeing the engine also. Years ago I installed a small round air cleaner on my Fat Boy for just that reason. I also ran an exposed K&N filter on this Sporty for a short time that did look good. But I keep going back to the ham can. Personal preference, as I find many of the traditional parts and pieces on these bikes are just cool.

Snapped some better pics of my Sporty with the king tank installed. At this point the bike ready for summer. Next year I hope to go with a Hammer Performance big bore kit

As always the bike looks sweet. The rust was cool, but rust is not racing style.
