Softail line needs a serious inject ...And no CVO street glide for 2013 so perhaps a mid season special edition ? Think a few folks myself included would welcome return of Night Train ...And think it might too late to hope for a Springer ..LOL. The Sportster model line seems to a FAV for mid season release though, which does give some Sportster options. Not sure how far the "blacked" out series of bikes will carry, but obvious the MoCo appears to have embraced the "look". Just my ramblings ..
Yeah I heard from my dealer here that now they're for guys and not for girls only.. So good for me cause for a second there I thought I bought a "girls bike" and I was kind of questioning my manhood... but not anymore
It's going to be a new Vrod that will be a mix between the Nightrod and the XR sporty
Trust me on this one
I'm all for a sport oriented V-Rod as long as they don't make it heavier. H-D still hasn't figured out that weight reduction improves performance. Get rid of that power robbing 240 back tire! The early vrods (180 tire) were under 600lbs. H-D owns most of all the old Buell tech so they can definitely build a vrod sportbike if they had to desire to do so.
I liked the XR1200 but why is that bike 150lbs heavier (and slow) compared to the Buell XB12 which had the same engine?
How about a REAL Sportster with good suspension and a decent fuel tank? The 48 and 72 are nice, but, a new 1200R would be cool to see.
A 1200R with fat front tire & big tank would be nice.
Apparently there will not be any 2013˝ models.
A salesman @ my local dealer says the the Softail Blackline will be gone for 2014.
