Default wire extension help

Iso im installing some Todds cycles 12" strip bar apes, i bought a wire extension kit with the color coded wires with the connectors on them, my issue is the end dont want to "snap" together or anything, they very easy pull apart, do i need to "crimp" these connectors? or does the heat shrink hold it together?
thanks

Maybe a crimp or a touch of Solder, and heat shrink.

I would throw it away and get me enough leads of the same size wire. Solder my extension. Wrap with one tight layer of plastic tape and shrink wrap that. On each end of the shrink wrap in the opening I would finger pump black RTV up into opening and carefully wipe any off OD to be neat. Overkill? Yes but what you have is garbage that a year from now when things stop working your going to kick yourself in the butt or pay thru the nose for someone to figure what is wrong.

they look like replacement deutch pins / sockets so you can use stock plugs.... just a guess.

There should be a shell for those one would think. Like in the picture on the page below the wire in your post. The snap into a body and the connector usually locks together in some fashion.

can I ask what the kit part number? I am curious now as to what they consider plug and play, but you are going to cut. That is far from P&P.

I have a kit from burly that had the same connections. I cut mine off and soldered my wires and shrink wrapped. I didn't want them working loose inside my bars.
You prabably could crimp them tighter, but why risk it?
