Personally, if I were you, I'd keep them on. Not only do they come in handy if you'll ever ride 2-up, but are good for having another foot position while riding. It really does make a difference having the option.
Unless you're desperate for the $70, I'd keep them.
Bought a used pair in mint condition for $25 a few years ago for my '08. Found them on Craigslist from a nearby seller. Guess I got a pretty good deal.

No not really desperate for money, but I tend to sell what I don't use.. which is why I sold the sissy bar that came with it from dealer as well.
I might just trade those pegs for a biltwell bar

Update-
Hmm thought about it 10-20 minutes after reading your post.. I might as well keep em but I'm keeping them off cause I think it looks less crowded.

Nice you got lucky! I actually found the screaming eagle insert on craigslist for $5 bucks, but the bike it came from was totaled :/ I hope I don't get bad juju from it haha
hey dude get yourserlf a dog crate-------they wont **** on your bed anymore, guaranteed
Naw man, I feel that's animal cruelty even if it isn't.. I couldn't possibly put her in a cage.
See I actually rescued her from some dipshit that had her in a bag and was about to throw it from the bed of his truck and I stopped and asked what he was doing, with a wrench in my hand. He dropped the bag gently on the side of the road and split. I opened it and found a (probably 2-3 weeks old) rat terrier :P
Ended up keeping her, and I also have a lab that my ex gave me, and a damn chihuahua too, that my current gf brought with her.. so
I need to stop adopting animals cause I'm still in school and live on an off campus apartment.. they actually don't accept pets haha, but they probably wouldn't like a Harley on the porch where I usually park it :P
