Dropped my rear jug oil leaking sportster off at a local indy on wed. that has a good rep. I didn't ask when it would be done figuring it is winter and it would be a couple of weeks. I get a call today that it is done so I arranged a ride and picked it up. He said I got it in at the right time so I was first on the list he had a few bikes in there when I dropped it off the other day. I usually am last on the list. I didn't have 100% confidence in doing it myself and a unheated garage. So I paid and had both of them done will have to wait till a warm day to do some cleaning on the underside to get all of the old oil residue and I think the drain hose is leaking so I have the parts to do that.
Now it doesn't bubble oil at the rear base jug now.
Barry In MO.
Congrats. It's a good feeling when something finally works out for ya. I'm usually on the other end where NOTHING works in my favor!
Now we just need this weather to warm up so we can get out on the road!
I've been riding any chance I get. Even if its only for 20-30 minutes haha.
If its 40 or above, I'm riding for as long as I can take it.
40 actually feels like a heat wave, as we've been down in the negative numbers and single digits for awhile. (Chicago winters are awesome)

Yeah, I think I'm the same way, if it can go wrong, it does for me. Hoping to get in soon and have my new tires put on, thinking it's pretty slow right now in most shops. Maybe I'll luck out like m1crazy, I've heard in the Spring, you have to get on a waiting list around here. There are not a lot of shops, but a lot of bikes locally.
Reaper, I'm straight West of you, maybe 3 hours, so we've got about the same weather. Either way too cold, or warm but raining. At least the hard water fishing has been good this Winter.

I hear ya man. Today is about 45 but of course raining.
Fishing and riding my bike. Two things I'm desperately looking forward to this year. I'm going nuts just being trapped in the house all week. Hopefully the snow is done with. (I'm thinking it is) Like an idiot I bought my bike in the beginning of January. I've been doing nothing but stare at it wishing the weather would break. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
