Not to hijack the thread, but i wonder if the folding license bracket on the nightster will bolt onto the sportster...
I'll bet that it will, it's a Sportster, can't imagine that it would not fit. Somebody will try it before long. Why don't you be the Guinea Pig? hahahahahaha Thats what my parts guy calls me, when I told him I wanted a rear light bar for a Softail Touring model he asked what for? I told him, Never mind that have you got one? He insisted it would not fit a Sporty Fender. Wish I had bet him the price of the Light bar that it would!
ahahahahhahahahaha
I'm gonna look into it... i kinda like the folding look... you know... when you dont want to be known...

That's one of the few thing that I like about the Nightster, but then what to do with our holes in the fender?
Ahhhh now ya gettin into some serious Mods. When I changed my paint, I welded up the mounting hole for the two up seat position, (also ground of the mounting rivets on the front fender to braceand welded those too),,,so I would think this would be in order here. Other than that, I would suggest some Stainless Steel Button head bolts, Polished of course!!
I had the same thought as XL OCD. The Nightster folding mount would fit but then we have a set of holes in the fenderthat I really wouldnt want to start filling in with filler or doing paint work. Wouldnt be worth the hassle to me. So back to the original question; What do we do with the holes in the fender???? Anyone???

Just so you know, I've heard that the Nightser bracket looks ceap and kinda crappy up close. I was thinking about using it too.

A lot of aftermarket companies make individual caps for the holes. They have bar and shields, skulls, and other designs. Some companies also make bigger pieces that fill all three holes, like a large iron cross. So that's an option.
