I was at the HD dealer today and noticed the shock length seemed to be longer on the 883 super low than on the 883 Iorn does anyone know if they are. The bikes are 2013 models.
XL883L has 11.5" shocks, and the XL883N has 11.0" shocks. Either way, the stroke length and high spring rate on those makes them less than ideal for comfort.
The SuperLow has lower profile tyres than most other models, so the longer shocks probably compensate for them. Don't be fooled, however, they are best thrown in the garbage, even off a new bike!
