Im looking to get some good gear especially a jacket. I really debating on getting the roland sands leather jacket but not looking to spend 600 buks.. Any nice good looking jackets out there that are smiler? thanks
Ya 600$ is outrageous for a jacket. I know the saying you get what you pay for, but there's plenty of companies who make quality leather jackets for well under 300$ that I've seen people post good reviews in here.
I do love that vintage style RSD tracker jacket (352$ on motorcycle USA) but its not even leather for that price. Bad *** style. Wish it was cheaper (or find a jacket similar but way cheaper) And then where are you going to find them in person to try on? I haven't seen shops carry them. Too much of a hassle if it doesn't fit good
had a nice deal on closeouts at the local dealer the other day.. got a $550 leather jacket for something like 375. not the cheapest around but its a good jacket, good looking and something i havent seen alot of - kindof a cafe/vintage looking jacket with block lettering on the back.
and the best part is it doesnt have bright orange all over! haha
I bit the bullet and bought a Roland Sands Ronin jacket and holy **** is it awesome. I love it, the cut and comfort are better than any other jacket I've ever worn but admittedly I haven't worn a LOT of jackets, maybe 4-5 over the years. Even with back, shoulder, and elbow armor in place it's totally comfortable. Every time I wear it people (who know nothing about riding, etc) comment on what a cool jacket it is. The price is a little hard to swallow, but if you can swing it it really is worth it in my opinion.
For any canadians and possibly americans who want a quality custom made jacket. I just picked one up from Rubber Side Down in vancouver bc. They carry a line of nice jackets and will custom make it to fit you for $100 more.
sadly their website and pictures suck.. but i picked up this one.. Way nicer in person and awesome quality. It doesnt say it, but it comes witha zip in liner as well. http://www.rubbersidedown.ca/heritage_jacket
Personally I would rather spend a few extra dollars to protect my skin if needed. My fav is foxcreekleather.com I've had a jacket from them for over 5 years and wouldn't trade it for anything. Top quality and US made
