i get speed wobbles when over 75mph, if on the hwy and i click off 80mph i know because things get scary... thats with the fender.

Ill be getting the brace. My ride from Orlando to Miami would have been much better.

Is it really necessary?? I'm taking the fender off this season... Love the look, but, I hear people saying it wont be as stable and to get a Superbrace or Roland Sands.... Would like to put the $$ into something else....

I'm aware gravel n water will spit up w/o the fender on, but, I'm concerned performance and wheel wobble like when laying into a turn or @ highway speeds.

Thoughts?
The cheapest solution:
Cut the fender down to nearly nothing.

Haha. I don't wanna ruin the fender. Still good to have it in case you get sick of water, rocks, and anything else kicking up at you.

A fork brace will improve any bike. I added one to the Softail and was surprised at the improved tracking. I had not thought that it was needed. I did it for style.

I do plan on adding on to the XL.

For a discount try www.kutterharleyonline.com/store for discounted parts, no sales tax(except Wis. residents) and if over $99 then free shipping. Used them for years. Good service.

Have had the brace on for a week, and gotta say, it has made a big difference. Bike is more stable, nimble, and def reduces wobble. To each their own, but, I'm now glad I dropped the $$$ for the super brace.

Highly recommended!!

are all the old school braces created equal? Any one better than the other?

I have the Ultima "fork brace". It doesn't work as well as a superbrace but is made from thick steel and finishes off the front end after removing the fender.

My front fender is kind of crappy. Rust bubbles and it dented, so I decided to drill out the rivets on it and use the fender brace. I painted it and will have it mounted in a a couple hours. I can post pics if anybody wants.

The brace might make a diffreance, IDK never had one, but for this season I removed the front fender and I can't tell a diferance at all. I have no fender on my C50 and it handles better LOL!
