I went to the Southend shakedown on Monday, when I went to go home the speedo wasnt working and the indicators wouldnt auto cancel had to follow a mate home when going through speed cameras, I have taken of the rear silencer, and down pipe and slowly but surely been undoing the bolt on the speedo meter.

My bike is a 1996 XL1200 Custom and this seems to be going on forever ( undoing the bolt with allen key )

Just wanted to know is there any kind of magic trick and will I need to strip out the battery section when I finally get this bitch out.
