2012 "72" Makeover... Yeah lets call it that
It's most likely just me but the 72 seems wierd to me , it needs a little more angle to the frount forks. They look like they have been in the dryer too long.
Know what I mean ? just a little more rake would really do it.

But for an update. I hope to have the tins done and possibly put on by Sunday. (NRA 500 at TMS kinda cuts into bike working time this week as i will spend the weekend out there)
But to cover some other issues. My wife has a 2012 883 Iron that i have been working on since i got the damn thing a month ago... Seat, luggage rack, 12" Burly kit, grips, crash bar, V&H Shortshots, torque cones, windshield, so pretty much every bolt on... Having issues with the exhaust though. Not seating properly so have to play with that, AND have to take it in to get the Voltage regulator replaced... Gotta love it...
Anyway, back to the "72"... Front Fender is painted and looks good, was clear coating the back fender and ran into some issues and had to sand down and start over, have the tank taped and primed and hope to shoot the base coat today.. My sideplates and 30" Cycle Visions Attitude stick, and 4" risers will be here Friday according to UPS, going to hold off a week or 2 on the DK customs kit...BECAUSE, i need to get the bike back together to take to the Dealer so they can change out MY voltage regulator AND tighten my rear spokes since you can pretty much turn them all by hand...
So yeah, hopefully i will have some more pics for you guys this weekend! Just to many irons in the fire right now!!!!
I picked this "72" with 18 miles on it for $8,000.... The dealership sold it to a Casino, who raffled it off and an old lady won it who turned around and sold it back to the dealership for half what the casino paid for it. It had been titled so it had to be sold as used, but it only had 18 miles on it and was never ridden by anyone but the dealer salesman and service guys.

Tomorrow she gets taken back to the dealership to get the rear spokes torqued since they were all freaking loose!
