Countershaft sprocket or not?

I would like to slow that rpm down a bit. 6 speed tranny is out of the question.

Dunno what you mean by countershaft sprocket, but you can lower your RPMs at any certain speed through gearing. You didn't list any year or motor on your bike, so I'm not sure what you've got - but by replacing your (front) drive sprocket with one with a higher tooth count, it'll make the rear wheel turn faster at any given speed, lowering your motor's RPMs.

You could ask your HD parts counter for a sprocket from a 2003 Sportster 1200. That would have a tooth count that's either one, or possibly two higher. It would lower the RPM's a little, but you'd also suffer a slight reduction of accelleration rate.
