what I did is replace all the gasket top end only due to oil leak as well as changed the oil there has always been some noise from the rockers but after doing this it got a 100 times worse this knocking is louder than the screaming eagle pipes I have and is constant with rpm so pretty sure something is hitting just not sure anyone have any ideas would possible putting in push rods backward cause this? im pretty sure that they are in right but that really seems like the only thing you can screw up with the top end unless I missed something any advice would be appreciated. thanks also it is coming from both sides
wouldn't run it like that very long. pushrods in the wrong place could be the problem. don't see what else it could be if the only thing done was gasket replacement. I assume you have a manual and followed the proper torque procedures.
ok took apart and reassembled and have came across new problem... now I can not get the bike back in neutral as well as can no spin the back wheel with clutch pressed or released.... before I put valve covers on I was able to spin wheel in 5th gear and everything seemed to moving working correctly went to shift into neutral to start and never found it and now cant spin wheel at all... any ideas?
Pull the covers again and see if the wheel turns. If so, then the covers are trapping the rockers somehow. I'd check you have no grit in the cup. Something definately wrong on the top end.
