Rear fender nut replacement.
I recently ordered a used Mustang solo/passenger seat for my 05 sportster. The only problem is that it didn't come with any of the installation hardware. I emailed Mustang and they were nice enough to send me the screw and spool washer but unlike the HD seats theirs requires 2 fender nuts. My question is, could I use a standard nut from the hardware store temporarily without damaging my bike until I can get another fender nut?

Not if you put a passenger on the seat. The dealer or an indy will have those fender nuts & plastic c clips. I got a few extra from an indy for $3.00 when I broke one. HD shop wanted something like $10 for one.
