So just a little update.
Put stock a/c back on. Checked fuelpak settings and went for a ride. Still acted up. Took off fuel pak another test. Issue still present. Checked the plugs. Little worn so I replaced them. Another test. Still doing it. The wife and I went for a ride I just had to short shift it and deal until I got gas. My last idea was bad fuel. Well, long story short my issue was fuel related. I put in 4.1xx gallons. Mind you it's a custom with the big tank. Iirc the tank holds 4.2 gallons. Can we see where this is headed? Yeah, I'm an idiot. Runs great now that it actually has some go-go juice. Now to put my parts back on.
Late to the party, but reading through your posts I was going to reply with (1) exhaust leak or (2) bad fuel....looks like you found the gremlin.
Once you put all the after-market parts back on, let us know if things still function normal...thks!
Another recommendation is to add some fuel stabilizer to the mix - even during summer riding. I always add 1oz. Seafoam per gal with every fill b/c you never know if the pump's good/bad/iffy...JMO.
It does but its the new combo tach speedo and it seems as if the light comes on a lot later than the stock unit. And with the new parts and lower fuel economy it just kinda snuck up me I guess.
